Devil: Ekta moja-r jinis dekhlam... let me share. In V20N10_-_Raja_Midaser_Dussopno in page no. 27 there is a funny translation. 'Pool and billiard' is translated as 'Pukur o billiard'!

iman: That's really funny. Actually I did not notice it! And that is also rare, because Indrajal translations are generally good.
Prabhat: Indrajal is not going to die for sure! We are here to keep it alive. Only I need some more Bengali to come with scans as I can not finish this huge job all alone.

Yes,sometimes you'll see these kinda lapse,but otherwise 90-95% times Bengali tranlations r superb...simply marvelous!!
Ami khub ager issues like #4,5 theke last issues (Vol.27;1990) podechi...tai bolte pari je,Anubad asadharon chilo....and it incld. NOT ONLY Comic pages but Cartoons/ads/nRipleys/later Capries ajob khobor(remember it??) etc's tranlations were hugely popular and hit among Ijc-lovers!!
That's why even after 20 years Indrajal is soooo close to us...:)))

I remember, I first read IJC (in bengali ofcourse) in 1981, when my father was posted at Jhalda (Purulia). But then every thing lost in time and steps of life... then I rediscovered them in the IJC blogs 2-3 months back. (Thanks to you guys.) I try to read many story books/comics which I used to like in those days, but they don't excite the same way they used to do. But IJC is different...still has the same colour and glory! -Iman
I am a big fan of comics and a regular at your blog/site.
This site had helped me relive my childhood... and get myself reacquainted with the 'characters' I grew up with... ! Onek din pore bangla comics dekhe khub bhalo laglo.
